Again close to the beginning of April, E3 2021 was officially announced as an all-digital occasion. Set to happen in June, this 12 months’s E3 would host a lot of outstanding publishers, together with the likes of Ubisoft, Capcom, and Konami. Besides now, Konami has pulled out of proceedings, stating that it merely “won’t be able to current at E3 this 12 months”.

We think about that Konami’s plans, like all the things else, could have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic over the past 13 months or so. However why was Konami going to indicate up at E3 anyway? Not less than from a ‘AAA’ perspective, the Japanese agency has been borderline silent for years now.

Apparently, within the firm’s official E3 assertion, it alludes to “a lot of key tasks” which can be at the moment in “deep growth”. It says that we must always “keep tuned for updates within the coming months”. Hmmm.

After all, Konami’s been surrounded by rumours for ages — which is often what occurs when a writer hasn’t made any notable gaming business bulletins for what seems like an eternity. There was that entire factor with the Metal Gear Solid remake — which has gone nowhere since — and far more not too long ago, there have been these weird Metal Gear tweets. Which, once more, did not really quantity to something official (it did find yourself being a slightly interesting fan project, although).

After which on prime of all that, we have Konami registering logos for Metal Gear Rising and Castlevania. At this level, who is aware of what is going on on.

Have been you hoping to see Konami pull out the large weapons at E3 2021? What do you suppose the writer is really as much as behind the scenes? Make up some wild theories within the feedback part beneath.
