I believe these plans are altering far an excessive amount of, however one other day — another rumor for the purported, indefinitely postponed GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics card. New rumors recommend it is coming in April 2021 with 12GB of GDDR6X reminiscence.
Leaker kopite7kimi posted on Twitter saying again in December 2020 that the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti specs he’d been listening to from his sources stated the cardboard would rock 10496 CUDA cores and 20GB of GDDR6X reminiscence. However he has stated that “issues have modified” and the brand new “present spec” if 10240 CUDA cores and 12GB of GDDR6X reminiscence.
The adjustments there see 256 CUDA cores lower down from the beforehand rumored GeForce RTX 3080 Ti specs, and an enormous drop from the 20GB of GDDR6X on the earlier specs from late 2020, to only 12GB of GDDR6X with the brand new specs. That is 2GB greater than the RTX 3080 (10GB GDDR6X) and 12GB lower than the RTX 3090 (24GB GDDR6X).
So it appears the brand new GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is not “indefinitely postponed” in line with these new rumors, and will as a substitute be launched in April 2021 with 12GB of GDDR6X. I suppose we’ll have to attend and see.
